Manvita Kamath, a Kannada actress, is currently involved in various projects in the film industry. She recently had a Kannada-Marathi bilingual release and is gearing up for a rare direct OTT release in Kannada cinema. Additionally, she has another Kannada film set for a theatrical release later this year. In a conversation with Bangalore Times, Manvita discusses her experience working in different mediums within the industry, the lessons she has learned over the years, and the support she receives from her husband and his family post-marriage.

Manvita mentions her love for the big screen but also appreciates the reach of OTT platforms to a new audience. She reflects on the changing landscape of cinema, from the excitement of a theatrical release to the opportunities provided by OTT platforms that cater to a wider audience. She is looking forward to the release of her bilingual film "Chakhamakhi," the Kannada film "One and Half," and another project set for a direct OTT release.

As social media plays a significant role in shaping public perception, Manvita acknowledges the need to maintain a balance between privacy and engaging with her audience on these platforms. She reflects on the impact of social media on how people perceive celebrities and considers adjusting her approach to connect with her fans effectively.I used to struggle during interviews as I felt I didn't have enough to discuss, like news. Nowadays, with the influence of social media, I question if I need to enhance my presence there to shape how people perceive me. It's unfortunate that what's visible online often determines reality to others. What I do in my private life, such as my work ethic and dedication to my craft, may seem non-existent because I don't flaunt it publicly.

I value the guidance of my mentors and the unwavering support of my close friends. My husband Arun and his family provide me with the love and encouragement I cherish. While my mother discouraged me from entering the film industry, my husband and in-laws appreciate and celebrate my accomplishments. Reflecting on my past, I see moments of naivety in my career. However, as I grow personally and professionally, I have learned to set boundaries and not allow myself to be taken advantage of. I have distanced myself from those who undermine my self-esteem. My focus is on doing meaningful work, and I refuse to let negativity dampen my spirit.
